About the event

Delivering a Golden Decade for Black Enterprise.

In March this year, the West Midlands Forum launched its first collection of essays, dedicated to our founding co-chair, Jack Dromey MP, on how we create a golden decade for our region between the Commonwealth Games and the first High Speed trains drawing into Curzon Street. But to deliver that vision, and truly achieve levelling Up, we aspire to build a capital for Black business and enterprise in the heart of Britain.

So what are the big moves that we need to make as a region to truly deliver on levelling up and inclusive growth for the Black community?

This report pulls together a host of research along with the results of our West Midlands Forum roundtable at the Inaugural Birmingham Black Business Show to set out recommendations on how we make progress on this critical agenda.

We will be joined by Chi Onwurah MP, Councillor Sharon Thompson, Justice Williams MBE, Liam Byrne MP, Michael Adeniya, Monder Ram (Aston University), Paulette Simpson CBE (Voice Media), and Richard Parker.
